Read MoreI found this Quiet Exit class encouraging, inspirational, as well as informative. Being a single woman of a certain age, and will be Bopping/Solo-Slow-Traveling on a budget with Retirement in mind. I am considering Europe, i.e., Portugal as the final destination. The masterclass highlights tips and strategies for slow traveling, which includes being flexible, combining House-Sitting, with lower cost, charming AirBnbs. This class also provides specific, in-depth intentional hacks and encourages doing "Due-Diligent" on how to chose a house sit to support and offset travel cost, which I had some apprehensions about. I also appreciated the information on what brand/type of luggage is suitable for carry-on, which will allow you to move with more "Ease and Flexibility". The class is very detailed-oriented, purposeful, as it addresses many of the concerns with much needed "Clarity" as a Solo travelers on a budget. C. S.
Read LessQuiet Exit shows American women (US citizens) how to live in Europe and the UK for months at a time using house-sitting and smart short-term rentals—without high costs, long leases, or major commitments.
You want to avoid complex paper-work & long term commitment
Want to slowly travel & check out new countries/regions
Want to save money- compared to most US housing costs
Are flexible but want comfortable accomodations & peace
No, this can lead to being an expat. But this strategy is based on speed, and taking a break for up to 6 months abroad.
You will need a passport and any requirements of the EU & UK. Currently the latter, for the U.K. is an online form when you buy your ticket. And the EU will roll out an online form in 2026 (it has been delayed many times already.)
No it suggest two ways, where your choice combined with opportunity gives you options on your slow travel.
This not the aim of this program, it doesn't contain legal advice. Each nation in Europe has differing rules and so requires your own research or hiring a professional. You will be traveling as a tourist.
Moving abroad even if for a few months can be challenging at times. I recommend this program for women who feel resilient and are clear on what they want from being abroad. You will be away from a support system- so seek professional advice from your medical provider before making any major changes.
